K2K Day 2-Charlottesville, VA to Durham, NC

At the start of our ride, my dedications for today

Each day, we dedicate our ride to one or multiple people we will ride for that day. We write their initials or names on our calves to carry them with us through the miles, to keep them in our minds and hearts, to give us strength and to send positive energy and love to them.

Today, I dedicated my ride to two very special people in my life, Jim Mitchell and Rick Schofield. I chose today, since Sundays are always special to Jim, and Savageman is on a Sunday which is a special connection for Rick & me. Both of these men have touched my heart & my life and ahve been special friends for a long time. They both also have and are, kicking cancers ass with strength, grace, positivity and humor. Love you both-thank you for your friendship & love, and inspiration!

We rode several hours today and my group was so great! I rod with Meredith, Maureen and John and our support crew was Theresa, Lee and Pete. We stopped at a local firehouse along the way to chat with them and share a bit about Ulman Foundation. We helped them wash their new fire truck, met three cancer survivors and got a tour of the house and their BBQ chicken lunch operation! The people you meet and the experiences along the way are just incredible.
